CR (of all people) LOVED the new CTS. Said it was better then the Germans. Unlike the ATS apparently CUE is the only real problem. So far, so good. Now, about the wagon......
Edit: turns out For Sweden posted this yesterday. Oh well, not everyone saw it.

I'm not a huge GM fan (with the exceptions being things like the GTO/Holden Monaro, etc), but I've found myself quite taken with the CTS, most especially the CTS-V
I was on the fence, in that "I could take it or leave it" place, until I actually got a chance to see one up close and personal.
I was leaving the grocery store one day not too long ago, and was on my way out to the car.
I park out in BFE so as to not receive door dings. I just happened to be keeping pace with an older guy who was also on his way out to BFE. He made some remark about the hike out there being worth it, and he walked up to a CTS-V parked two slots away from my Celica.
I remarked to him how surprised I was that the CTS-V looked SO DAMN GOOD in person, and he let me take a look inside, etc.
I asked if I could drive it around the block.
He politely declined.
BUT I do think I know what big-engined car I'll be purchasing once I get to an income level where I can justify it. I used to be really hung up on getting a GTO one day (and I still might) but I think I'd much rather have a CTS-V.

Consumer Reports and tossing a car around.
Mind does not computer.
Having said that, the new CTS is really, really working hard to take my money from me. It would be the single dumbest decision I could make, but at least it would be a smart dumb decision.
